Berkshire Appoints Jon Pfeil as VP, Acquisitions

New Appointment Expands Berkshire’s Acquisitions Team and Enhances Debt Transactions Capabilities

BOSTON, MA – AUGUST 14, 2014 –Berkshire Residential Investments, a real estate investment management company known for its vertically-integrated platform and experience in the multifamily sector, today announced that it has hired Jonathan Pfeil as Vice President, Acquisitions.  In this role, he is responsible for Berkshire’s debt strategies platform, as well as equity transactions in the New York Tri-State region. Mr. Pfeil is based in Berkshire’s New York office and will report to Eric Draeger, Senior Vice President and Head of Equity & Debt Transactions.

“Jon is an experienced real estate executive with a deep knowledge of debt markets, and an extensive network of contacts that we believe will serve our clients well,” said Mr. Draeger. “Berkshire continues to expand its deployment of capital, and having Jon join our team both broadens our reach in terms of acquisitions, and strengthens our capacity for higher quality transactions. Prior to joining Berkshire, Mr. Pfeil was a Principal of Ranieri Real Estate Partners where he led the acquisition and disposition of Berkeley Point Capital, a multifamily mortgage finance platform. Earlier in his career, he was a Vice President in Deutsche Bank AG’s Commercial Real Estate Group and also worked for Berkshire Mortgage Finance, a prior affiliate of Berkshire.  Mr. Pfeil holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross.
