Carolyn Burgess

Carolyn Burgess serves as the Chief Credit Officer at Berkshire. In this position, Carolyn is responsible for ongoing loan monitoring, underwriting, and the expansion of investment strategies, specifically direct debt, indirect debt, equity and development. She also serves as a member of Berkshire’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Berkshire, Carolyn was Vice President & Multifamily Chief Risk Officer at Fannie Mae, where she led a team responsible for oversight and monitoring of the Multifamily Mortgage Business.

Carolyn received a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing degree from the University of Virginia. She also completed executive leadership and corporate risk programs at MIT, HBS and UCLA.
